Visiting Anna United Methodist Church Where is the church? We are located at 100 W Second Street in Anna, TX. Here is a link to Driving Directions.
Where do I park? We have visitor parking designated in front of the sanctuary, but there is additional parking across the street.
What time are the services and what should I expect? Our 8:45 “early worship” service features guitar-lead worship and communion is served each Sunday. Both before and after the early worship, church members gather for coffee and donuts in the fellowship hall (adjacent building directly west of the sanctuary). The 10:45 “traditional worship” service features a piano and choir as well as a special “children’s time” with Pastor Chuck during worship! Communion is served the first Sunday of each Month. Also on the first Sunday of each month, we plan a fellowship luncheon immediately following service.
What about my kids? Do you offer childcare? Are they welcome in worship? Children are welcome to attend the church service. For parent’s convenience, we also offer nursery care during both worship services and Sunday School. Older children are invited to participate in a special “children’s time” with Pastor Chuck during the 10:45 traditional worship service. Children are then dismissed to attend “children’s church” in the Fellowship Hall, or they are welcome to sit with their family in worship. We offer coloring sheets and crayons to help entertain children who stay in the worship service.
What do I wear? Come as you are. You’ll see members and visitors in casual jeans and boots, as well as dresses and suits. This is God’s House and ALL are welcome!
Can I take communion? All who seek to grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ are invited to His table, regardless of age or membership. Also, we serve grape juice as opposed to wine.
Is there really a place for me? How do I get involved? How can I make a difference? Our church calendar is a great place to start to learn more about events and announcements in the church. Our children ministries and youth ministries are always eager for volunteers. United Methodist Women and the United Methodist Men, Sunday school classes and Disciple Bible Studies are among the Adult Ministries that foster a growing relationship with Christ. Volunteer in the Food Pantry, serve on a committee, sing in the church choir… the opportunities to worship and serve God are endless!
